Hey Loyd,

You need to get on another podcast. I miss listening to you, Jason, and Robert every week talking about purely technical stuff. It was probably one of the only podcasts that tickled my tech fancy without being too cheesy. You need your own show on Revision 3 or something.

Definitely subscribed to the blog!

Lloyd, glad to see you hooked up with the Tech Report folks -- I'm a forum member, and it's my favorite stop for PC tech news -- they're good guys.

This is a bit eerie, but I am another John, like the earlier poster, who is interested in seeing your latest ideas about building a new computer. As the launch of Windows 7 approaches, I am getting closer to scratching my itch to build another great PC. The drop in prices of SSDs and Blu-ray drives is also arousing my interest. I know that you did a Windows 7 build for Extreme Tech, but that was WEEKS ago. Any ideas?

Hi Lloyd. Is it close to time for another "build your own pc" article?
How about - win 7, 64 bit. Good, best or better. Take your pick.

Thanks,

John

Hey Loyd I have a tech question for you that might inspire a blog post for you. My question is, do you think the LGA 1336 socket will see future support, or do you think Intel will put at least most of it's effort into the LGA 1156 (i think) socket chips? Will the 1336 sockets and cpus always carry a hefty price premium? And would that price premium be worth it? Having more pins makes for more memory bandwidth (correct?) and I/O but is that worth the price premium? I guess I will have to wait for reviewers to run some benchmarks but do you have any speculation/guesses? Should I spend the extra money and go with the LGA 1336 and risk Intel dropping support and just releasing new cpus on the smaller pin count socket?

Thanks for any insight and keep up the great writing!
